Our client: Our client is an independent Kenyan based law firm specializing in Legal Services, Legal Advisory, and Training services and is seeking a motivated Legal Associate to join their growing team. This is a prime opportunity to build your legal career, manage a diverse caseload, and contribute to the firm's reputation for exceptional legal service.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Litigation:
➢ Manage a full portfolio of litigation matters
➢ Ensuring meticulous attention from case intake through to settlement or judgment
➢ Develop litigation strategies, and drive negotiation of settlements on behalf of clients
➢ Prepare, review, and file all necessary legal documents for court hearings and negotiations

2. Support and handle elements of conveyancing, commercial contracts, and corporate advisory as required.
3. Maintain proactive and clear communication with clients, providing regular case progress reports.
4. Conduct thorough research and prepare legal opinions, pleadings, contracts, and other essential documents.
5. Firm Contribution: Author one legal article monthly to contribute to the firm's thought leadership.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with and supervise paralegals and legal assistants, while updating and consulting with senior associates and partners.
7. Maintain rigorous standards in client billing, record-keeping, and time management.

Who You Are:
➢ A qualified Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid 2026 Practicing Certificate.
➢ Possess minimum 1 year of relevant post-admission experience (including pupillage).
➢ Demonstrable experience in legal research, drafting pleadings, and case preparation.
➢ Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues.
➢ A proactive, self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
➢ A strong writer with a keen analytical mind and attention to detail.
➢ A team player committed to continuous learning and professional development.
