Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for an experienced Lingala Medical Interpreter. The interpreter will provide high-quality medical interpretation for healthcare professionals and patients, ensuring accurate and culturally sensitive communication. Daily tasks include performing simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, understanding complex medical terminology, and assisting with document translation when needed. Flexibility, professionalism, and adherence to confidentiality standards are essential aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Medical Interpretation, including both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation
• Strong understanding of Medical Terminology and its application in healthcare settings
• Skilled in Translation and Interpreting across English and Lingala
• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Relevant professional certification or training in medical interpretation is highly desirable
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a medical interpreter
• Ability to maintain professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and confidentiality
• Access to a reliable internet connection and the ability to work remotely
