Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Logistics & Operations Executive in the Inland Service Department at COSCO SHIPPING LINES (KENYA) LTD, located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day logistics and operations tasks, overseeing supply chain management, handling customer service inquiries, and contributing to sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate logistics services’ operational schedules Deliver logistics services that meet customer requirements Execute multi-modal supply chain operations Supervise teams to support supply chain operations and other work Evaluate risk factors that impact efficiency Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers Provide monthly reports on inventory valuation and other key metrics to management Perform analysis of the overall budget and expenses for logistics operations Develop cost-effective logistics strategies Coordinate with internal and external teams to streamline processes and flow of goods.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in Logistics and Transport Experience in the shipping or maritime industry is a plus Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management expertise Customer Service and Communication skills Sales experience Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Knowledge of international trade and shipping practices Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
