Job Responsibilities
The Medical Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the design, creation and delivery of marketing strategies, approaches, materials and programs. This role requires someone with good sales and marketing skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate with a sense of urgency and flexibility in supporting the clients and overall growth of our product portfolios. To succeed in this role, the Medical Sales Representative should have good communication skills and should collaborate and work well in a cross-functional team environment.
General Description and Duties:
The tasks listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job effectively.
- Develop and create marketing resources that articulate the products benefits, including printed collateral, product videos, testimonial videos, and website copy
- Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as email, social media, digital campaigns, and events
- Analyze and report on the performance of programs
- Develop advertisement campaigns for traditional and digital marketing
- Collaborate with the broader Marketing team to execute product launches
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities
- Assist with coordination of HCP event activities and conferences
- Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g. product and sales) to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives
- Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums
- Attend and support internal meetings, conferences and customers visits as needed
- Support cross-functional teams in coordinating processes and approaches in marketing healthcare products to individual clients, organizations and hospitals
Key Accountabilities
- Achievement of Sales Targets
- Meet personal sales targets as established, incorporating the full range of products within identified markets or geography.
- Sales Process and Relationship Development
- Assess customer needs, promote / sell products to new and existing customers through formulating and building positive trust relationships.
- Conduct presentations to doctors and allied staff in hospitals & medical centers and to pharmacists and dispensers in the retail sector & assists them in making right product decisions.
- Regularly collect and share feedback from customers related to product, price, service, and activities and propose solutions to counter challenges.
- Actively resolve customer complaints by analyzing problems and developing solutions and escalating to line managers where necessary.
- Plan & conduct informative meetings (CME’s, Medical camps, and product campaigns) with general practitioners, pharmacists and specialists and keeping a record of visits.
- Adherence to set KPI’s and performance criteria
Position Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools
- Academic Qualification: Diploma/Bachelor of Science Degree/Pharmacy Degree or any other relevant qualification – required.
- Excellent marketing research and analytical skills
- Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail
- Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
- Ability to travel as necessary
- A talent for creativity and problem-solving
- Strong team player who is willing to be versatile to help the team and learn
- Self-driven and self-motivated individual who can work independently
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, medical sciences, marketing, communications, or related field.
Minimum Experience:
3+ years of experience in healthcare industry in a similar position required.
