About the Role
We are looking for a MEP Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing and procurement of mechanical, electrical and plumbing materials and services for MEP projects. The role will involve supplier evaluation, quotation analysis, negotiation and coordination with engineering and project teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications, budgets and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate and manage MEP suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare RFQs/RFPs, evaluate quotations and conduct cost comparisons.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery timelines and supplier terms.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams to confirm technical specifications.
- Manage procurement from requisition through to final delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain procurement records, reports and documentation.
- Ensure procurement complies with project requirements, company policies and relevant standards.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in MEP procurement, engineering procurement, construction procurement or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials and equipment.
- Experience in supplier evaluation, quotation analysis, cost comparison and negotiation.
- Strong MS Excel and MS Office skills; ERP experience is an advantage.
- Good communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with engineering, project management and suppliers.
