Kibabii University is a public university in Kenya located in Bungoma County along Bungoma-Chwele highway.

Vocational and Technical Trainer (IT/Computer Science /Software Engineering)

Requirements for Appointment:

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

Bachelor’s degree from accredited and recognized University in the relevant field

OR

Higher Diploma in a relevant area or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution Certificate in Competence-Based Education and Training (CBET)/Training of Trainers (TOT) Cyber Security/HCIA Security, Data Comm/Routing and Switching, Knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, php, CompTIA A+ for IT Trainers will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities

Undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the curriculum and occupational standard; Preparing teaching/learning materials and course outlines; Setting and marking internal assessment examination/assignment; Preparing checklists for practical exams/assignments; Assembling the portfolio of evidence; Carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer; and Supervising trainees’ projects and practical work.

Successful candidates shall work on Part-time basis for a period of one academic year in accordance with terms and conditions of service as approved by University Council from time to time
