Typical Roles and Responsibilities
- Patient care (basic hygiene, treatment-based care, and specialized procedures)
- Administering and assisting with treatments and medications
- Supporting physicians during interventions
- Documentation and use of digital systems
- Family counseling and patient communication
- Emergency response (e.g. CPR)
- Planning and organizing care routines
- Use of medical tools and monitoring equipment
- Adherence to hygiene, vaccination, and infection prevention protocols
Requirements
Eligibility Criteria
- Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (4 years), OR
- General Nursing &
Midwifery (GNM) Diploma (3 years) from a state-recognized
institution, certified by the Ministry of Education
- Licensure:
- General Nursing &
Midwifery (GNM) Diploma (3 years) from a state-recognized
institution, certified by the Ministry of Education
- Registered nurse status (if required in home country)
- Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical (hands-on) experience

- Age:
- Must be under 40 years of age at time of application
- Language:
- Either holds a recognized B1/B2 German language certificate (Goethe, Telc, ÖSD), OR
- Has a written assessment by a qualified DaF (German as a Foreign Language) teacher, OR
- Demonstrates clear willingness to learn German and complete B2 training
- Vaccination (per §23a German Infection Protection Act):
- Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
- Chickenpox (Varicella)
- Hepatitis A and B
- COVID-19 (as per employer requirements)
Language Training Framework
- A1 & A2: Can be online or offline
- B1 & B2: Must be conducted in person
- B2 should be completed in 12 months (maximum 18 months total)
