We are seeking to recruit a highly competent and committed Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team. Reporting to the Medical Superintendent, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and surgical care, while upholding Christian values and medical ethics.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive clinical care for obstetrics and gynaecology patients, including outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and surgical care.
Conduct deliveries, C-sections, and other specialist obstetric and gynaecological procedures.
Provide leadership and mentorship to medical officers, clinical officers, and nursing staff within the department.
Ensure strict compliance with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) regulations and hospital clinical protocols.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, Continuous Medical Education (CME), and hospital management activities.
Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes
Master’s degree in Medicine – Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MMed Obs/Gyn) from a recognized institution.
Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB).
Registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) as a Specialist.
Valid private practice license and retention certificate.
Minimum of three (3) years of post-Master’s working experience as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
Proven surgical competency in Obs/Gyn procedures.
High standards of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
Strong leadership, people management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in MS Office packages.
Ability to translate and uphold Christian/Biblical values and hospital ethics in personal and professional life.
