Location: Plateau off Kaptagat road, Kenya

Nundoroto Contractors, a subsidiary of Bles Dairies East Africa, specializes in large-scale agricultural contracting services, harvesting >5000 acres annually – mostly focused on maize silage. With activities from land preparation, precision planting, silage harvesting with 6-row forage harvesters, ensiling, to post-harvest solutions, Nundoroto is dedicated to sustainable agriculture and improving profitability for farmers. 

The role

We are looking for an Operations Manager with a strong interest in agriculture, machinery, and field execution. This role brings structure, discipline, and predictability into our contracting operations and is fully accountable for machine performance, team performance, scheduling, fuel, maintenance, and project performance.

You will work at the heart of the operation, close to the machines and the people, ensuring that every project is delivered on time, at spec, and at the lowest possible cost. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys running heavy equipment in a live agricultural environment.

What you will be doing

1. Logistics & Planning

• Translate the commercial pipeline into clear weekly and daily execution plan
• Plan machine allocation, crew movements, and transport between sites
• Anticipate bottlenecks and resolve them before they hit the field

2. Operational Execution

• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget and at desired quality 
• Maintain tight control on field performance and daily output

3. Machinery Park & Preventive Maintenance

• Together with the GM, take responsibility for the machine fleet and equipment park
• Build and enforce a strong preventive maintenance culture
• Minimize breakdowns, downtime, and emergency repairs
• Ensure machines are used efficiently and responsibly

4. Team Leadership & Operational Processes 

• Lead operators, mechanics, and crew leaders across all sites
• Enforce discipline, safety, accountability, and clear communication
• Build a reliable, professional field team that performs under pressure 
• Develop and ensure safety protocols on site 

5. Project Management & Budget Control

• Own operational project budgets together with Finance
• Control:

1. Cost per acre
2. Fuel per acre
3. Labor and repair costs

• Track actuals vs budget and correct deviations quickly

What we are looking for

• 5+ years’ experience in construction, transport/logistics, mining, machinery-heavy agriculture 
• Proven experience managing projects, machinery and team
• Strong interest in agriculture and machinery-intensive operations
• Strong process and planning mindset, not a fire-fighter
