Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Wholesale Hardware business Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize stockouts Manage and coordinate logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of goods Manage and develop a team of warehouse staff and drivers to ensure that they are meeting targets and goals Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize operations Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all staff Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are being met Prepare and present operational reports, forecasts, and other relevant information to senior management

Requirements:

Proven track record of successful operations management in the hardware industry Strong leadership and management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement Ability to work independently and as part of a team Self-motivated with a results-driven approach Knowledge of construction materials and industry trends Ability to travel as required

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the hardware industry Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software
