JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and dependable Operations Manager to join our family-run property management company based in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in people management, oversight of small-scale repair and maintenance work, and a solid understanding of basic accounting systems.This role is intended for a long-term team member who is committed to growing with the company. RESPONSIBILITIES
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the performance of staff members.Handle email and phone correspondence between the company and tenants.Organize and maintain office records, including inventory management.Coordinate with tenants, technicians, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless operations.Conduct biannual staff meetings to review performance and updates.Perform property inventories and oversee general maintenance across all properties.Assist the accountant with data entry and related tasks.Ensure tenant needs are addressed promptly and effectively.Qualifications & SkillsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Real Estate, Hospitality, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).Minimum of 3 years of work experience (real estate experience is not required).High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.Experience supervising and scheduling teams of 10 or more employees.Physically able and willing to travel around on a Boda.Mature, respectful, and a strong team player with proven leadership capability.Knowledge of NSSF, SHA, and related systems.Basic understanding of accounting and inventory systems.Basic knowledge of real estate marketing.Experience in construction is a significant advantage.What We OfferA dynamic work environment with room for growth.Exposure to a broad range of property management functions.Competitive compensation based on experience.
