About Tegis Group
Tegis Group is a technology solutions company helping organizations modernize, secure, and scale their businesses through cloud, data, and digital transformation services. We partner with the world's leading technology providers to deliver best-in-class solutions to our clients across Africa.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Partner Alliance Manager to own and grow our strategic OEM and hyperscaler partnerships, with a primary focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft (Azure), and Google Cloud. You will be the bridge between Tegis Group and our technology partners — driving joint go-to-market initiatives, unlocking partner funding and incentives, advancing our partnership tiers and competencies, and generating co-sell pipeline that fuels revenue growth.
This is a high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of sales, marketing, and delivery. The ideal candidate combines deep knowledge of hyperscaler partner ecosystems with strong relationship-building and commercial instincts.
Key ResponsibilitiesAlliance Strategy & Management
- Own the end-to-end relationship with OEM partners (AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud), including partner development managers, partner sales managers, and field sellers.
- Develop and execute annual joint business plans with each alliance partner, with clear pipeline, revenue, certification, and marketing targets.
- Advance and maintain partner program status (e.g., AWS Partner tiers and competencies, Microsoft Solutions Partner designations and specializations, Google Cloud Partner Advantage levels).
- Track and report on alliance KPIs: sourced/influenced pipeline, co-sell wins, marketplace transactions, certifications, and partner-funded programs.
Co-Sell & Pipeline Generation
- Drive co-sell motions: register opportunities in partner portals (AWS ACE, Microsoft Partner Center, Google Cloud Partner Advantage), align field sellers, and orchestrate joint account planning.
- Build relationships with partner field sales teams to position Tegis Group as the go-to services partner in target accounts and territories.
- Support marketplace strategy, including listing, private offers, and transacting through AWS Marketplace, Azure Marketplace, and Google Cloud Marketplace.
Partner Funding & Incentives
- Identify, apply for, and manage partner funding programs (e.g., MDF, POC/pilot funding, migration incentives such as AWS MAP, Azure Migrate & Modernize, Google Cloud incentive programs).
- Ensure compliance with partner program requirements and maximize rebates, incentives, and co-investment opportunities.
Enablement & Go-to-Market
- Coordinate certification and training roadmaps with delivery and pre-sales teams to meet partner program requirements and build differentiated capabilities.
- Partner with marketing on joint campaigns, events, webinars, and case studies with alliance partners.
- Evangelize partner solutions internally; keep sales and technical teams informed of partner roadmaps, programs, and incentive changes.
- Represent Tegis Group at partner events, summits, and conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in partner/alliance management, channel sales, or business development within the IT services, cloud, or software industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing at least one major hyperscaler alliance (AWS, Microsoft, or Google Cloud), including partner portals, programs, and funding mechanisms.
- Proven track record of building partner-sourced pipeline and achieving revenue or co-sell targets.
- Strong understanding of cloud business models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, marketplaces) and services go-to-market motions.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills — comfortable engaging from field sellers to executives.
- Highly organized self-starter, able to manage multiple partner programs, deadlines, and compliance requirements simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing all three hyperscaler relationships (AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud) concurrently.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner/Solutions Architect, Microsoft AZ-900/Azure Solutions, Google Cloud Digital Leader).
- Experience with additional OEM/ISV alliances (e.g., cybersecurity, data, or infrastructure vendors).
- Familiarity with partner incentive and migration programs (AWS MAP, Azure Migrate & Modernize, Google Cloud RaMP).
- Experience with CRM and PRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, partner portals).
- Prior experience at a cloud consulting firm, MSP, or systems integrator.
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
- Joint business plans in place with each hyperscaler, with executive sponsorship on both sides.
- Measurable growth in partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline and revenue.
- Advancement in partner tier status, competencies, or specializations for at least one major alliance.
- Partner funding secured and deployed against active customer opportunities.
- Established cadence of joint marketing activities and field engagement.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary plus and performance-based.
- Sponsored certifications and training with AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud.
- Opportunity to shape and lead the alliance function in a growing organization.
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture with direct access to leadership.
