Pharmaceutical Technologist

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Pharmaceutical Technologist to join our hospital team.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Accurate dispensing of medications in line with prescriptions and hospital policies.
  
• Stock control and inventory management, including monitoring expiry dates and proper storage conditions
  
• Patient counseling on medication use, dosage, possible side effects, and adherence
  
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory, professional, and safety standards
  
• Reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and completeness and seeking clarification from prescribers where necessary
  
• Maintaining proper documentation and records of dispensed medications and controlled drugs
  
• Participating in procurement processes, including ordering and receiving pharmaceutical supplies
  
• Monitoring and reporting adverse drug reactions and medication errors
  
• Supporting implementation of infection prevention and control measures within the pharmacy
  
• Ensuring proper storage of medicines in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory requirements
  
• Assisting in the preparation and compounding of medications where required
  
• Conducting regular stock audits and reconciliations
  

Key Requirements:

• 
  
• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
  
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hospital setting.
  
• Must be enrolled with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) with a valid practicing license
  
• Good knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, dispensing, and inventory management
  
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills
