ABOUT THE COMPANY
The Kenya Property Developers Association was established in Nairobi in 2006 as the representative body of the residential, commercial and industrial property development sector in Kenya. It is an emerging Business Member Organisation which works in proactive partnership with policy-makers, financiers and citizens to ensure that the property development industry grows rapidly but in an organized, efficient, economical and ethical manner.
JOB SUMMARY
Academic QualificationsApplicants must hold a degree from a recognised university in one of the following disciplines:Bachelor of Laws (LLB)Bachelor's Degree in EconomicsDegree or Master's Degree in Public PolicyDegree in Research, Statistics, or related analytical disciplineDegrees in the Built Environment are an added advantage, including:ArchitectureUrban & Regional PlanningEngineeringQuantity SurveyingConstruction ManagementReal Estate or related technical fieldsDevelopment Brings DevelopmentA Master's degree in a relevant field will be considered an added advantage.Diploma holders in the same fields with proven relevant experience are encouraged to apply.Experience RequirementsDemonstrated passion for and familiarity with the real estate and built environment sectorExperience working in policy research, legislative review, or advocacy environments Experience designing, coordinating, and implementing projects and programs Experience leading teams, supervising junior staff, or coordinating volunteers and committeesExperience engaging public and private sector stakeholdersExperience working within or alongside governance structures such as boards, working groups, or committees is desirableExperience in grant development, proposal writing, or donor-funded program management is an added advantage
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide support to research and development carried out that is of interest to KPDA members;Filing, record keeping and general organization of documents;Where necessary, assist in the preparation for the Public Policy and Advocacy Committee and its Working Group meetings;Where necessary, provide support the organization and running of research-based activities;Where necessary, assist in the preparation for meetings with affiliate/partner organizations;Any other duty as advised by the assigned supervisor.
