About The Role:

  • The primary purpose is to ensure reliable and efficient integration between point-of-sale (POS) systems and related software and hardware platforms.
  • The role is essential for enabling smooth integrations, supporting business operations, and enhancing the overall functionality of POS environments.
  • The POS Integrations Engineer plays a critical part in bridging technical requirements with business needs, ensuring that all POS integrations meet performance, security, and scalability standards while facilitating collaboration among internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Provides support during end-to-end testing of POS integrations in different modes and ensure the features and functionalities delivered on the Network payment platform are defect free and conform to the specifications and the goals of stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement POS integration solutions, while actively supporting the testing and rollout of new POS features to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with internal technology teams, business stakeholders and merchants to gather requirements, deliver effective integrations, and provide support for testing new POS features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to POS systems, integrations, data exchanges, and new feature deployments.
  • Document integration processes, workflows, technical specifications, and testing procedures for ongoing maintenance and support of POS features.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct regular checks to ensure reliability and compliance with security standards, including during the testing and implementation of new POS features.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to POS systems, integrations, and feature testing.


Key Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology discipline or related field.

Experience:

  • Possess a minimum of three years’ experience in a comparable role, preferably within the Cards and Payments sector.
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise in POS integration implementations, testing covering EPOS systems, APP-to-APP integrations, and Push Payments modes.
  • Experience in testing the complete payment transaction lifecycle, encompassing terminal testing, authorization, clearing, and settlement processes.

Job Specific Skills:

  • Experience with systems integration using ISO 8583/87, ISO 8583/93, NDC/DDC protocols.
  • Technical knowledge of card management systems.
  • Experience with test simulators and ATM/POS terminal certifications (ADVT, TIP), plus ISO message formats.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills for collaboration and influence.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
