We’re now searching for an experienced Power Systems Consultant to join our Smart Infrastructure team, working within our Power Technologies International group. In this key role, you’ll bring deep technical knowledge to our sales organisation and customers, helping them unlock the full potential of Siemens solutions and integrate them seamlessly into their networks.
This role can be based from either Melbourne, Australia or Jakarta, Indonesia.
What You’ll Do

  • Deliver power system studies covering steady-state, transient, power quality, and small-signal performance across transmission, distribution, microgrids, and hybrid grids
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, high-quality reports with practical, actionable recommendations
  • Advise customers and internal teams on how best to apply Siemens technologies to meet their technical and commercial goals
  • Develop tailored technical and commercial concepts to support sales pursuits
  • Prepare detailed proposals, including cost estimates and technical scopes, and support contract negotiations
  • Provide expert consulting to industry partners at both technical and strategic levels

What You Bring

  • Strong passion for power system planning and modern grid technologies
  • Experience in a similar technical or business development role
  • Excellent analytical and data management capabilities
  • Proficiency with power system analysis tools such as PSS®E, PSCAD, and PowerFactory
  • Grid connection engineering experience within the NEM, with solid knowledge of the NER and relevant Australian standards
  • Python programming skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strategic mindset with commercial awareness
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Why Join Siemens?
