Job Summary

The Procurement and Logistics Manager leads the charge in optimizing the supply chain operations. This role involves shaping a strategic vision, managing vendors, overseeing fleet operations, and ensuring inventory control. He/she will be the key focal point in maintaining quality, reducing risks, and enhancing team performance. By generating insightful data and controlling costs, the Procurement and Logistics Manager drives the supply chain excellence, while championing sustainability in line with the organizations's corporate values. Responsible of the Country supply chain function and liaison on all supply chain-related matters with the region and support teams.

Job Description/Requirements

1. Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. Continuously evaluate and refine the strategy to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.

2. Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) toassess the performance of the supply chain, including fleet operations. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement

3. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company Health and Safety rules, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and secure working environment for all employees

4. Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing supply chain team. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

5. Procurement Management: Lead procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations, and manage supplier relationships to secure quality supplies at the best possible cost.

6. Demand Planning: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create accurate demand forecasts. Use these forecasts to plan production schedules, procurement, and distribution, including fleet operations, to meet customer demand.

7. Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate terms and conditions, and resolve any issues or disputes in a timely manner. Implement strategies to diversify the vendor base, reduce supply chain risks, and enhance supplier collaboration.

8. Fleet Management: Oversee the company's fleet of vehicles used in supply chain and distribution operations. Ensure proper maintenance, scheduling, and optimization of the fleet to meet delivery schedules and reduce operational costs. Implement vehicle tracking and maintenance systems for enhanced efficiency and safety.

9. Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate the efficient movement of products, materials, and equipment within the supply chain, including the company's fleet. Collaborate with logistics partners and carriers to ensure timely deliveries, reduce shipping costs, and improve transportation efficiency.
10. Inventory Management: Oversee the management of inventory levels to optimize working capital while ensuring that products are readily available to meet customer demand. Implement best practices for inventory control, demand forecasting, and safety stock management.
11. Facilities Management: Manage and maintain company facilities, ensuring a safe and productive working environment. Oversee maintenance, security, and space allocation. Implement strategies for optimizing space and reducing operating costs.
12. Quality Control: Establish and monitor quality control processes to ensure that products meet industry standards and customer expectations. Address quality issues with suppliers and internal teams as necessary.
13. Risk Management: Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop risk mitigation strategies. Proactively address disruptions and implement contingency plans to maintain business continuity.
14. Cost Management: Develop and manage the supply chain budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or service levels.
15. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that all supply chain activities, including fleet operations, comply with relevant laws, regulations, including environmental, and sustainability standards.
16. Sustainability Actions: Drive initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of the supply chain and fleet operations, including carbon footprint reduction and responsible sourcing practices.

Ideal Skills and Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the telecommunications, Constructions or technology industry.
• Proven leadership skills with a record of accomplishment of building and managing successful supply chain teams.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in supply chain software and tools, such as ERP systems and inventory management software.

In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, including lean and Six Sigma principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Adept at managing and optimizing supplier relationships.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
• Certification in supply chain management is a plus.
