JOB SUMMARY
What we expect from youBachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field2–3 years of professional experience in procurement and supply chain operationsProven experience in import/export operations and local sourcingSolid understanding of international trade regulations and Kenyan customs proceduresProfessional certification (CIPS, CPSP-K) or KISM membership is an added advantageExcellent command of English, both written and spoken
RESPONSIBILITIES
Align procurement activities with Puratos’ global strategy, policies, and proceduresSource raw materials locally and internationally in a cost-efficient mannerCreate, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure timely deliveryOversee import/export processes, including documentation and regulatory complianceCoordinate with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and government authoritiesMaintain and update the supplier database in line with vendor management standardsSupport supplier performance evaluations, audits, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with food safety, quality, and sustainability standardsMonitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning teams to prevent stock disruptionsPrepare procurement reports and provide actionable insights for decision-making
