Job descriptions & requirements
- Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily ready-mix concrete production activities to ensure efficient and timely production.
- Prepare, review, and implement concrete mix designs based on project and customer requirements.
- Monitor the quality of raw materials and finished concrete products.
- Ensure compliance with approved mix designs, quality standards, specifications, and applicable requirements.
- Work closely with the batching, laboratory, dispatch, and site teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Supervise and coordinate production and quality personnel, ensuring effective teamwork and accountability.
- Monitor plant performance, production efficiency, wastage, and material utilization.
- Investigate quality issues and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate production, quality-control, testing, and mix-design records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving product quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Liaise with customers and project teams on technical and quality-related matters where necessary.
- Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years’ relevant working experience in a busy ready-mix concrete environment.
- Proven ability to prepare and manage concrete mix designs.
- Strong understanding of ready-mix concrete production and quality-control processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and manage a team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production and delivery schedules.
- Experience with concrete testing, quality assurance, and relevant standards will be an added advantage.
