The Nyayo Tea Zones Development Corporation was established through a Legal Gazette Notice No. of as a State Corporation with the aim of promoting forest conservation by providing buffer zones of tea and assorted tree species to check against human encroachment into the forestland.

Mechanical Section

Duties and responsibilities will entail assisting in: Carrying out planned mechanical preventive maintenance; Sharpening of rollers; Operating multipurpose lathe machine; Installation of machines; Carrying out mechanical works; Fabricating parts and spare parts; Operating the CTC machine for tea cutting; Generating mechanical maintenance records; and Maintaining safe work environment.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: Diploma in any of the following Engineering disciplines: – Mechanical, or other equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; Been a member of a relevant Professional body; Valid Annual Practicing License from the Engineers Board of Kenya; and Proficiency in computer application skills.
