Role Overview:
STACO’s new Kenya office is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Program Manager to lead, guide, and manage all aspects of humanitarian and development programs in Kenya. The Program Manager will play a pivotal role in developing the program strategy and overseeing project implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead and implement STACO's program strategy in Kenya and conduct needs assessments.
- Program Management: Oversee the complete project life cycle, ensuring efficient implementation within budget and timeline.
- Team Management: Build, mentor, and supervise the program team and support capacity building.
- Budget & Grant Management: Manage program budgets and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
- MEAL: Ensure robust Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning frameworks are in place.
- Partnerships: Build strong relationships with government agencies, donors, UN agencies, and NGOs.
- Security & Compliance: Contribute to security plans and ensure adherence to policies.
- New Office Establishment: Work with HQ to establish initial office operations in Kenya.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program management (3 years in leadership).
- Strong practical experience in the Kenyan or East African context is mandatory.
- Proven experience working with major international donors.
- Experience in launching new programs or offices is a strong advantage.
Skills:
- Excellent project management and proposal writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Languages: Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is a must.
