Job descriptions & requirements

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Resource Mobilization & Fundraising (50%)

Grant Writing: Lead the development of high-quality concept notes and full proposals for foundations, corporates, and bilateral donors.

Donor Mapping: Research and identify potential local and international funding partners that align with Nawiri’s mission.

Pipeline Management: Maintain a database of funding opportunities and ensure all submission deadlines are met.

Reporting: Coordinate with the programs team to draft timely and accurate impact reports for existing donors.


2. Program Coordination & Implementation (30%)

Outreach Management: Organize and lead community camps, workshops, and distribution drives (Education, Health, Environment).

Stakeholder Liaison: Build and maintain relationships with local leaders, government departments, and community-based organizations (CBOs).

Activity Planning: Develop monthly work plans and budgets for project activities.


3. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (15%)

Data Collection: Conduct field visits to collect qualitative and quantitative data on project progress.

Impact Stories: Identify and document success stories, case studies, and photos for communication and donor engagement.


4. Strategic Partnerships (5%)

Representation: Represent the Foundation in relevant NGO forums, networking events, and donor meetings.


Job Requirements & Qualifications
Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Professional Experience: 2–3 years of proven experience in grant writing or NGO program management.

Technical Skills: * Excellent proposal writing and editing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience in budget development and tracking.

Soft Skills: Strong public speaking and community facilitation skills; ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Field Readiness: Must be willing to travel frequently to rural areas and work in diverse, grassroots environments.
