Our client is a leading ICT infrastructure company based in Nairobi, Kenya, specializing in comprehensive technology solutions for buildings, including fiber cabling, networking, CCTV, Wi-Fi installations, sound systems, and more. We cater to a diverse range of facilities, such as malls, hospitals, restaurants, and factories, ensuring top-notch ICT setup that meets our clients’ unique needs.


Role Summary

The Project Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire operations of our project executions. This includes procurement, standardizing processes, ensuring project efficiency, and maintaining quality across all sites. The ideal candidate will work closely with the CEO to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while taking the lead on operational responsibilities to ensure the company’s growth and smooth running.


Responsibilities

● Oversee procurement processes and ensure that all sites have the necessary resources for timely and quality project execution.

● Manage and supervise project sites, ensuring that all activities conform to our set standards and SOPs.

● Collaborate with the CEO to develop and refine operational procedures and standards.

● Ensure all team leaders and their teams are aligned with the project goals and company standards.

● Monitor project timelines and budgets, making adjustments as necessary to meet targets.

● Liaise with different departments to ensure project requirements are met and to facilitate smooth operations across the company.

● Provide regular reports on project status, challenges, and progress to the CEO and other stakeholders.

● Take the lead in problem-solving and decision-making to ensure project success.


Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.

● Proven experience in operations management or a similar role, preferably in the ICT infrastructure sector.

● Strong leadership and team management skills.

● Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.

● Ability to develop and implement SOPs and quality standards.

● Proficiency in project management software and tools.

● Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Must have:

● Experience dealing with top company management

● Experience managing casual labour/short-term contractors

● Experience managing other line managers/functional heads

● Excellent top level reporting skills

● Ambition to grow into higher management positions
