Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for procurement and technical innovation? Join our Rolling Stock Procurement team in Prague!
How will your team look like?
You will become part of a small, dynamic, and newly established team in Prague, composed of project management specialists who work on a diverse range of tenders and projects. You will collaborate closely with our German headquarters and international suppliers to ensure strategic alignment and the best possible conditions. Together, we will focus on maximizing cost savings, optimizing procurement processes, and strengthening our strategic market position.
Your Tasks

  • Ensuring the strategic procurement function in national and international projects to achieve optimal results for the respective project, where you will be a core team member during the offer and project execution phases
  • Coordinating the procurement strategy and its successful implementation
  • Ensuring the achievement of material cost and schedule targets and initiating countermeasures in coordination with the specialist procurement team in case of deviations
  • Deriving solutions for procurement-related tasks in the project (e.g. negotiation methods, adapted negotiation strategies, Global Value Sourcing, supplier and logistics concepts, etc.)
  • Analyzing/evaluating customer tender components
  • Timely adherence to project schedules and control of project-related purchases and supplies with a focus on budget, including responsibility for budget compliance
  • Creating internal key figures for project controlling
  • Identifying and managing procurement risks, opportunities, potential changes, and claims during the entire lifecycle of a project

Your Qualifications

  • Successfully completed business or technical university degree desirable
  • Professional experience in strategic procurement and/or project management advantageous
  • Very good knowledge of methods, especially project management methods, and good knowledge of procurement markets and strategies
  • Contractual knowledge, technical product knowledge, and negotiation skills in an international environment are advantageous
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Results- and goal-oriented personality
  • International business understanding and high-quality awareness
