About this role

CHORD Music Group is looking for a Project Specialist to coordinate and support projects across the organization's music, media, publishing, and promotional initiatives.

This is a hands on role for an organized and proactive individual who can keep projects moving, communicate effectively with different stakeholders, and work comfortably in a creative and fast paced environment.

The Project Specialist will work closely with artists, production teams, marketing, sales, management, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within the agreed scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and track project timelines and deliverables.
  • Organize project resources, tasks, documentation, and schedules.
  • Coordinate communication between artists, internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Provide regular project updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with project reporting and performance tracking.
  • Respond to and coordinate basic artist, customer, and partner inquiries.
  • Support live shows, publishing activities, digital releases, and promotional campaigns.
  • Work with production, marketing, and sales teams to coordinate project requirements.
  • Monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding tasks.
  • Identify workflow challenges and suggest practical improvements.
  • Contribute creative ideas that can improve the artist and audience experience.
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure important information is properly documented.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good project coordination and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with artists, creative teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of sales, marketing, or audience engagement.
  • Attention to detail and accountability.
  • Proficiency with basic office, communication, and project management software.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.

A diploma or degree in Project Management, Business, Communications, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Working Arrangement, Hours & Availability

This is a full time, on site position based in Kiambu, Kenya.

The standard working schedule will be Monday to Friday, during normal business hours, with the specific daily reporting and closing times communicated to the successful candidate.
