ABOUT THE COMPANY

Kenya Private Sector Alliance is the apex body for private sector in Kenya. KEPSA brings together local and foreign business associations, federations, chambers of commerce, professional bodies, corporates including multinationals, large and medium-sized corporates, SMEs and start-ups from all sectors of the economy, representing over 1 million businesses locally and over 45million businesses globally through the membership of ICC-Kenya Chapter. We enable these businesses to speak with one voice when engaging Government, development partners and other stakeholders on cross-cutting policy issues affecting private sector development and we implement programs that ensure the social-economic development of the country including women and youth empowerment.
KEPSA serves as a federation of over 80 Associations and professional bodies. In the EAC region, KEPSA serves as the national focal point of the East African Business Council and engages closely with peer apex bodies in the EAC region to resolve any emerging business issues as well as to promote trade and investment.

About KEPSAThe Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) is the apex body representing Kenya’s private sector, bringing together over 2 million businesses directly and indirectly. Its membership spans multinationals, corporates, SMEs, start-ups, and professional associations across all sectors of the economy. KEPSA also serves as the national focal point of the East Africa Business Council EABC), the umbrella body of businesses in East Africa, and hosts the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Kenya Chapter, linking local businesses to more than 45 million globally. KEPSA coordinates businesses to speak with one voice and engage local and foreign governments, development partners, and other stakeholders on cross-cutting policies, laws, and regulations that shape business growth and competitiveness through its Public Private Dialogue (PPD) Platforms.Beyond advocacy, KEPSA drives socio-economic development through projects focused on youth employment, climate change, and business capacity building. These initiatives provide training, mentorship, networking, market access, and investment opportunities. Its social arm, the KEPSA Foundation, extends this impact by mobilizing private sector resources for community transformation. RESPONSIBILITIES

Role OverviewKEPSA is looking for a Public-Private Dialogue Executive (Corporate Affairs), this is a senior leadership role responsible for leading, developing, and strengthening PPD engagement platforms in alignment with the Business Strategy. The role provides strategic direction, coordination, and oversight to ensure structured, inclusive, and results-oriented engagement between the private sector, public sector, development partners and other key stakeholders.The position anchors KEPSA’s corporate and evidence-based research, ensuring that member priorities are translated into fact-based, evidence-driven policy positions and advocacy outcomes. The role involves close collaboration with KEPSA Members, Board, Sector Boards, Governing Council, internal teams, government institutions, development partners, and other strategic stakeholders at national and county levels.Key ResponsibilitiesA. Leadership of Public-Private Dialogue (PPD) Platforms and Corporate AffairsProvide strategic leadership in the design, development, coordination, and continuous improvement of KEPSA’s PPD platforms in line with the Business Strategy.Ensure platforms are inclusive, transparent, well-governed, and outcome-oriented, while creating new engagement mechanisms where none exist to expand KEPSA’s reach.Coordinate policy-related engagements of the Governing Council, Sector Boards, and thematic working groups.Supervise and guide the PPD team, offering technical support to Sector Boards.Collaborate with internal departments to align policy engagement with KEPSA’s corporate positioning and advocacy priorities.B. Policy Engagement, Advocacy, and RepresentationLead the identification, prioritization, and advancement of private sector policy issues emerging from PPD platforms.Represent KEPSA in high-level engagements with government institutions, county      governments, regulators, development partners, and other stakeholders within and outside the country.Coordinate engagement with members, sector boards, the Governing Council, and Board      to ensure coherent policy positions.Champion reforms in policy, legislation, and regulatory frameworks that enhance business competitiveness and investment.Conduct advocacy training for members and sector boards in partnership with relevant partners to strengthen policy engagement capacity.C. Research and Evidence-Based Policy DevelopmentOversee and conduct research, including surveys with stakeholders, to generate insights on the business environment and emerging trends.Integrate data, economic analysis, and global best practices to ensure policy proposals and dialogue positions are evidence-based.Translate research findings into issue matrices, policy briefs, and engagement tools for effective use in PPD platforms.Strengthen KEPSA’s credibility as a thought leader through rigorous, evidence-driven policy advocacy.D. Stakeholder Coordination and PartnershipsBuild and maintain strong working relationships with KEPSA members, Sector Boards, the Governing Council, the Board, and internal teams.Engage external stakeholders including government agencies, regulators, development partners, and regional economic blocs to advance KEPSA’s agenda.Collaborate with the Membership Affairs Department to establish or strengthen Business Member Organizations (BMOs) and address individual concerns of members.Drive partnership development and mobilize resources to support policy, advocacy, and PPD initiatives.Coordinate with Membership Affairs to raise funds for advocacy programs, membership events, and engagement forums.E. Monitoring, Evaluation, and ReportingEstablish mechanisms to track progress, outcomes, and impact of PPD platforms and      policy engagementsEnsure timely reporting to KEPSA leadership, members, partners, and other     stakeholders.Promote accountability, learning, and continuous improvement across policy engagement processes.Qualifications and CompetenciesEducation & Training: Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, International Relations, or related field; additional training in policy analysis, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.Leadership & Strategy: Over 10 years of progressive experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership, providing strategic direction and managing complex, multi-stakeholder platforms.Policy & Advocacy Expertise: Proven track record in public-private dialogue, corporate affairs, and policy advocacy; strong ability to champion reforms that enhance competitiveness and investment.Organizational Development: Skilled in building and strengthening member-based organizations (BMOs) and driving institutional growth.Research & Analysis: Solid background in conducting and integrating research, surveys, and economic analysis to inform policy positions.Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional relationship-building skills with government, regulators, development partners, boards, and regional blocs; experienced in representing organizations at high-level forums.Partnerships & Impact: Ability to develop and sustain strategic partnerships that advance organizational goals and amplify impact.Contextual Knowledge: Deep understanding of Kenya’s policy, legislative, and regulatory environment, alongside regional and global economic trends
