QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
Location: Kajiado
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Quality Control
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect raw materials, packaging materials, in-process production and finished products against approved specifications.
- Conduct routine quality checks and identify defects, deviations and non-conforming products.
- Verify product quality, weight, packaging, labelling and batch information.
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Report quality deviations and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure rejected/non-conforming materials are properly identified and segregated.
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse and other teams to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, hygiene requirements and applicable quality standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Quality Management, Production/Manufacturing or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Quality Control/Inspection within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality inspection procedures.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare basic quality reports.
- Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under production pressure.
Added Advantage
- Experience in detergents, chemicals, household products or other FMCG manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, GMP or HACCP.
- Experience using quality inspection/testing equipment.
