Quantity Surveyor – Sales & Business Development Executive (Design-Build)
Job summary
We are seeking a results-driven Quantity Surveyor with strong sales experience to drive revenue growth while maintaining technical credibility. This role combines: Technical costing expertise (QS) and Client acquisition and deal closing (Sales). You will be responsible for generating leads, preparing BQ proposals, advising clients, and converting.
Job descriptions & requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and generate high-value leads (KES 5M+)
- Meet potential clients (developers, homeowners, corporates)
- Convert inquiries into design-build contracts
- Prepare and deliver client presentations and proposals
- Follow up leads and manage the sales pipeline
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
2. Costing & Commercial Advisory
- Prepare preliminary estimates, cost plans, and BOQs
- Advise clients on budget optimization and value engineering
- Translate client ideas into feasible cost solutions
- Support pricing strategies to ensure profitability
- Review drawings and align design with client budgets
3. Client Management
- Act as the first point of contact for new clients
- Build strong relationships and maintain client trust
- Guide clients through the design-build process
- Ensure smooth transition from sales → design → construction
4. Market Intelligence
- Monitor construction costs and market trends
- Identify opportunities in residential, commercial, and interiors
- Provide insights to improve pricing and competitiveness
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying
Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in sales within the construction industry
