We operate to the highest safety standards and are committed to developing the next generation of rope access professionals.We are seeking motivated young professionals who have a background in Electrical Engineering or Welding/Fabrication and are interested in building a rewarding career in industrial rope access.Position SummaryThe Rope Access Technician will undergo structured training while supporting our technical operations in electrical works, welding and fabrication, inspection, maintenance and other specialist access projects. Successful candidates will receive practical on-the-job training with opportunities to progress towards internationally recognized rope access certifications.Minimum QualificationsApplicants must possess one of the following:Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:○ Electrical Engineering○ Electrical & Electronics Engineering○ Electrical Installation Technology○ Welding & Fabrication Engineering○ Mechanical Engineering (with welding experience)○ Mechatronics Engineering (advantage)Experience● 0–2 years working experience.● Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.● Industrial attachment or internship experience is an added advantage.Age Requirement● 25–30 years.Key Responsibilities● Assist in industrial rope access operations under supervision.● Support welding and fabrication works at height.● Support electrical installation, maintenance and troubleshooting activities.● Participate in façade maintenance, industrial maintenance and inspection projects.● Conduct equipment inspections before and after use.● Follow company safety procedures and IRATA work practices.● Complete daily work reports and site documentation.● Attend company training and competency development programmes.● Travel to project sites across Kenya and internationally where required.Desired Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills● Basic electrical installation and maintenance skills OR● Basic welding and fabrication skills.● Ability to interpret engineering drawings (advantage)● Familiarity with hand and power tools.● Good understanding of workplace safety practices.Soft SkillsWe are looking for candidates who demonstrate:● Excellent communication skills● Positive attitude● Strong willingness to learn● Team player● High level of integrity● Self-motivated● Strong work ethic● Ability to work under pressure● Good problem-solving skills● Adaptability and flexibility● Professional conduct● Attention to detail● Time management skills● Ability to receive and implement feedback● Safety-conscious mindsetAdditional RequirementsSuccessful candidates should:● Be medically fit for working at heights.● Be willing to travel extensively.● Be comfortable working outdoors.● Have no fear of heights.● Be able to work flexible hours when projects require.● Possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (or be willing to obtain one).● Have a valid passport or be willing to apply for one (advantage).What We Offer● Structured career development programme.● Opportunity to obtain internationally recognized IRATA Rope Access certification.● Mentorship from experienced Level 3 Rope Access Supervisors.● Competitive remuneration.● Local and international project exposure.● Continuous technical and safety training.● Long-term career progression opportunities.
