Job Summary

The Methodist Sacco Limited is seeking to recruit a well-qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of a SACCO Finance & Admin Manager.

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelors
  • Experience Level: Mid level
  • Experience Length: 5 years

Job Description/Requirements

The successful candidate will be based at the SACCO head office in Nairobi and will be responsible for providing support to all other functions of the SACCO and MICoS to enhance achievement of goals, proper planning and forecasting of all operations that will include: -

1. Fostering good customer relations and safeguard the corporate image the two Societies and inform the board of any concerns for remedial action.

2. Manage, develop and maintain a high performance team by providing good leadership, effective supervision, and identification of capacity needs and guidance of staff members

3. Be responsible for the management of costs so as to achieve business growth as envisioned in the strategic plans of both Societies.

4. Prepare and analyze on quarterly basis the Strategic Business Plans for the SACCO and MICoS and annual budgets ensuring implementation of the same.

5. Spearhead attainment of the targeted growth of the Societies in terms of membership, deposits, loans, products and investments amongst other growth parameters.

6. Ensure realization of high levels of profitability for both Societies culminating in satisfactory return on investment and rebates.

7. Maintaining proper books of accounts and other relevant financial records among others.


The prospective Candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications: -

a) A minimum of C+ in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E)

b) Bachelor’s Degree in a business or finance related field from an accredited University.

c) CPAK graduate with a minimum experience of five (5) years in accounting work

d) Computer Literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint.

e) Should be aged 35 to 45 years.

f) Should be fluent in spoken and written English and Swahili.

g) MUST have a recommendation letter from his/her church Pastor and other two referees.

h) Demonstrable flair for people management.

i) Experience as a branch manager in a financial institution such as a Sacco, bank, Micro finance institution among others will be an added advantage.
