The incumbent will be required to plan and implement selling strategies in order to develop customer relations with targeted customers, in an assigned territory. Achieve targeted goals in measurable categories of gross margin contribution and market share-driving sales

Job Description/Requirements


Duties and Responsibilities

1.      Representing the company for the sale of Cummins Generators to customers in a defined sales area and maintaining market share leadership

  1. Engaging the market and advising the management on opportunities in the market.
  2. Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluating customer needs
  3. Actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
  4. Setting up meetings with potential clients and listening to their wishes and concerns
  5. Preparing and delivering appropriate presentations on Cummins Generators.
  6. Participating on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences as required.
  7. Negotiating/closing deals and handling complaints or objections
  8. Gathering feedback from customers or prospects and sharing with internal teams
  9. Meets and responds to the needs of assigned customers in a professional and timely manner.
  10. Accurately maintains customer information lists, contacts and sales activities
  11. Preparing sales contracts for obtained orders and submitting those orders for processing
  12. Monitoring trends in customer's business activities and timely communicates to management and sales team

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering

Proven 3 years sales experience in a corporate environment

Must hold a valid driving License

Good understanding of High Horse Power Generators

Good understanding of local market

2.      Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

  1. Presentation skills – customers, internal senior management and peers
  2. Influencing skills - customers, internal senior management and peers
