Job Summary

A company dealing in Architectural Hardware/Ironmongery based in Nairobi, is looking to fill the position of a competent and dynamic Sales Representative-Projects, reporting to the Managing Director.

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelors
  • Experience Level: Mid level
  • Experience Length: 3 years

Job Description/Requirements

Work experience

  • At least 3 years in business development dealing in construction projects, handling full cycle from scouting for projects to post-installation service
  • You must have worked with professionals in the construction industry such as contractors, architects, quantity surveyors among others.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in business related course or building/construction course
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD applications
  • Valid driving license, preferably with own car- this role entails 80% travelling.


Role 

The role is designed to grow sales and optimize clients’ satisfaction, while developing business and enhancing relationships with the building and construction industry professionals and other related fraternity:

• Liaise with the building industry professionals in relation to the company’s product(s) specifications.

• Follow up on sales through aggressively scouting for construction projects, pursuing tenders and procurement opportunities for our company’s solutions 

• Interpret architectural drawings, do specification and quotations for projects adhering to company policy

• Collection of outstanding receivables for the projects handled

• Ensure timeliness and cost effectiveness in order delivery

• Follow up on installation, post installation service

• Carrying out market research, competitor, and customer surveys

• Conduct product introduction, training, and demonstrations

• Represent the company in events such as seminars, conferences and trade fairs

• Supporting overall corporate marketing initiatives


Other desirable skills required

Aggressive in sales and business development

Ability to interpret architectural drawings

Ability to strategize, plan and prioritize

Ability to take initiative and ownership, and a passion for achievement of targets set 

Excellent customer service skills
