Position: Scientific Coding Expert - Material science
Type: Short-term contract
Compensation: $30 per hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities

• Write scientific problem specifications with logically connected sub-problems.
• Implement verified golden solutions in Python with unit test coverage.
• Design discriminative test cases for model output differentiation.
• Run QC validation checks on the Turing Central Task Platform.
• Iterate on tasks based on QC feedback to meet evaluation criteria.
• Participate in sync calls for reviews and feedback sessions.
  

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Material science or related field.
• Strong Python programming skills with experience in scientific computing.
• Ability to write rigorous scientific problems with clear constraints.
• Attention to detail in meeting strict rubrics for task quality.
• Experience in AI data annotation, research, or scientific writing.
• Familiarity with libraries like NumPy, SciPy, or domain-specific tools.
