Key Responsibilities:  

Installation & Cabling:
Install, move, and modify telecommunications and related equipment according to job specifications and industry standards.
Run, pull, splice, and terminate various cables, including copper (twisted pair), fiber optic, and coax, following proper color-coding conventions and safety codes.
Install equipment racks, cabinets, cross-connects, and other physical infrastructure components.
Install data links and routers configuration.

Maintenance & Repair:
Perform diagnostic testing on systems and circuits using specialized test equipment to verify proper operation and identify faults.
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, which may involve replacing damaged components or performing temporary fixes until extensive repairs can be done.
Conduct routine and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

System Administration & Support:
Administer and support phone systems (PBX, VoIP) by processing end-user requests for moves, adds, and changes (MACs) to lines and extensions.
Interface with client telecommunications vendors and common carriers to coordinate services and resolve issues.
Provide technical support and training to end-users on the operation of equipment and software.

Documentation & Inventory:
Document all work performed, including installations, repairs, and system configurations, and ensure network documentation is kept current.
Maintain an accurate inventory of telecommunications equipment, tools, and supplies, recommending purchases as needed.
Update and maintain databases, such as emergency services location mapping systems.

Emergency Response:
Perform network restoration efforts during emergencies and be available for on-call duty, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 operations.

Academic background & Professional Knowledge:
Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or related field from a recognized institution
3-5 years working in Telecommunications industry.
Ability to configure Routers (e.g. Cisco, Microtik, Edge router), Switches and Firewalls.
Demonstrated ability to calculate link budget and route design for optical link.
Fiber training / Ability to use all types of splicing equipment and OTDR and the accompanying test gears(power meter cable identifier)
Ability to install and maintain PABX systems
Cisco qualifications, minimum CCNA or any other IP Network certification.

Here Are The Skills We Are Looking For:

A strong understanding of basic electricity, analog and digital theory, network protocols (TCP/IP), and the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics are essential.
Problem-Solving: use of diagnostic tools and software to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical faults in systems and circuits. 
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of SIP and experience in working with SIP providers
Must have routing and switching experience with hands on proficiency in configuring Multivendor Routers and Switches
Ability to maintain confidentiality
