Senior Accountant to join our finance team.
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, and providing insights into financial performance.
The ideal candidate must be a practicing Muslim. The role requires at least 5 years of experience in the construction materials industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• General Accounting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax laws, prepare tax returns, and assist with tax audits.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure all required documentation is provided.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure financial information is accurately recorded and communicated.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or ACCA qualification is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the construction materials industry.
• Religion: Must be a practicing Muslim.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage pastel or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Integrity: High ethical standards and professionalism.
