Senior Project Manager – Utility-Scale Solar PV & BESS
- Location: Africa (Site-Based)
- Contract: Fixed-Term
Overview
We’re hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a utility-scale solar PV and BESS project from financial close through to COD. You’ll take full ownership of execution in a complex, remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery (engineering → commissioning)
- Manage EPC contractor, Owner’s Engineer, and key stakeholders
- Oversee schedule, budget, and performance targets
- Handle EPC contracts, claims, and risk management
- Coordinate logistics, construction, and site operations
- Ensure successful PV + BESS integration and commissioning
Requirements
- 10–15+ years in infrastructure or renewable project delivery
- Strong track record in utility-scale solar & BESS
- Delivered projects >30MW (incl. 1 project >100MW)
- Experience in emerging markets preferred
- Degree in Engineering or similar (PMP/Chartered ideal)
