Job Summary

As a key member of the Sales and marketing team in the Operations department, your core responsibility will be to cultivate a sales and marketing division of the company, responsible for overseeing the success of various sales and marketing initiatives and managing the department’s marketing budget and refine campaign strategies to grow brand recognition and market resonance.

Job Description/Requirements

Location: Nairobi with Travel as required


As a key member of the Sales and marketing team in the Operations department, your core responsibility will be to cultivate a sales and marketing division of the company, responsible for overseeing the success of various sales and marketing initiatives and managing the department’s marketing budget and refine campaign strategies to grow brand recognition and market resonance.


Your three (3) primary responsibilities will consist of:

• Design and implement social media strategy.

• Identify sustainable partnerships to elevate brand awareness.

• Design and implement marketing campaigns with measurable ROI’s.


Senior Sales & Marketing Role:

• Execution of marketing strategies for new and existing products.

• Leading the team through content creation both in visual and written copy.

• Organizing promotional events and coordinating the execution.

• Leading and training a team of marketing associates in the execution of marketing activities.

• Reviewing current marketing campaigns for weaknesses and developing solutions within budget constraints.

• Updating and monitoring the website and other social platforms to ensure engagement and right communication is relayed on the sites.

• Partnering with sales to roll out marketing campaigns on ground and online.

• Presenting fresh advertising ideas to senior management with expected budgets and ROI.

• Leading internal or external resources in creation of required marketing material and other branding materials.

• Create plans to improve the brand awareness among the different customer segments.

• Ensure all social pages are updated daily or weekly depending on the rollout plan for each site.

• Attend events that could boost the company’s online presence and make sure

• the brand is represented through branding.

• Conduct market surveys in collaboration with the sales team in order to inform the market position of the various products.

• Prepare reports that show the position of the brand in the market.

• As required in the department, you may be asked to support on other tasks related to sales and marketing.


Skills and qualifications:

• A bachelor’s Degree in marketing or On-the-job training with a minimum of 2 years with relevant experience needed to execute the core responsibilities.

• Knowledge of marketing-related business practices, including advertising, market research, technology and budgeting

• Proficient with marketing-related software programs

• Demonstrated history of planning successful product launches and events

• Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with team members, upper management and clients.

• Time management and organization skills in order to plan and execute both large and small marketing projects and initiatives.

• Leadership skills to motivate team members and manage conflicts.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills for coming up with ideas to increase demand for products and services.

• The candidate should have leadership experience to be able to drive the marketing associates to execution of the company’s wholesome brand in the marketplace.
