The company opened its first manufacturing facility in Mombasa, Kenya, in , rapidly widening its reach to include further countries in East Africa, and then Southern Africa. In , all operating companies were reversed into the current holding company called Safal Investments Mauritius Limited and conduct its business across Africa as the Safal Group.Today, the Safal Group manufactures in 10 African countries and sells and markets its building solutions across the continent.

Responsibilities

Ensure that production is executed as per plan. Compile and submit production reports. Ensure compliance to quality standards’ Schedule work at the Metal Coating Line. Manage shift manpower placement as per staff strength and ensure discipline of crews in the shift. Provide technical support for daily production activities at Metal Coating Line. Facilitate 5K activities and autonomous maintenance programmes. Implement ISO / practice. Ensure adequate production/quality records are maintained for shift. Ensure Roll parameters and availability are adequate for continuity of shift production plan provided. Monitor critical parameters for rolling (coolant, input & output material, rolls) and initiate correction of any abnormal deviation. Ensure safety of persons at Metal Coating Line and safe operation of equipment

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Chemical, Industrial or equivalent). SAP knowledge and computer literate Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in steel manufacturing industry. Be a registered member of engineering professional body
