Job Description
We are looking for a social media manager who will be responsible for building and managing Dhako Hana’s online presence through consistent, mission aligned content. This role focuses on storytelling, visibility, and community engagement to support fundraising, partnerships, and program awareness. We are looking for a skilled creative to support audience growth and donor engagement during the organization’s founding phase. This role is pro-bono and will transition to a paid role once upon funding.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage Dhako Hana’s social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X as applicable)
• Create and schedule weekly content aligned to programs and campaigns
• Develop simple content calendars
• Capture, edit, or coordinate photos and short videos from activities
• Write clear, human centered captions and calls to action
• Engage with followers and respond to messages where appropriate
• Track basic analytics and recommend improvements
Minimum Requirements
• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1–3 years experience managing social media pages or digital content
• Strong writing skills and understanding of storytelling
• Familiarity with content tools (Canva, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
