Job summary
The Social Work & Community Development Officer will support the foundation’s mission of empowering young, bright, and needy high school students by implementing community-based programs, providing social support, and strengthening relationships with beneficiaries, schools, and local communities.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Identify and assess deserving students through community outreach and engagement.
- Coordinate and implement programs supporting students’ academic and social well-being.
- Conduct home visits and community assessments where necessary.
- Provide guidance and counseling support to students.
- Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries and program activities.
- Liaise with schools, guardians, and local leaders to monitor student progress.
- Organize mentorship programs, workshops, and community events.
- Prepare reports on program impact and activities.
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection standards are upheld.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Community Development, or related field.
- At least 2-3years of experience in community work or social services (internship included).
- Strong understanding of community engagement and youth development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in diverse communities.
- Willingness to travel within assigned regions.

- Field-based role with frequent travel within Nairobi, Bungoma, and Taita Taveta
