Job summary

The Social Work & Community Development Officer will support the foundation’s mission of empowering young, bright, and needy high school students by implementing community-based programs, providing social support, and strengthening relationships with beneficiaries, schools, and local communities.

Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess deserving students through community outreach and engagement.
  • Coordinate and implement programs supporting students’ academic and social well-being.
  • Conduct home visits and community assessments where necessary.
  • Provide guidance and counseling support to students.
  • Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries and program activities.
  • Liaise with schools, guardians, and local leaders to monitor student progress.
  • Organize mentorship programs, workshops, and community events.
  • Prepare reports on program impact and activities.
  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection standards are upheld.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Community Development, or related field.
  • At least 2-3years of experience in community work or social services (internship included).
  • Strong understanding of community engagement and youth development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in diverse communities.
  • Willingness to travel within assigned regions.

Working Conditions
