Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise residents and their babies to ensure their safety, wellbeing, and overall welfare
- Provide social support, guidance, and basic counselling to residents
- Conduct home and school visits and prepare monthly progress reports
- Build and maintain partnerships with schools, health facilities, children’s services, and other relevant stakeholders
- Teach life skills and support residents’ personal growth and development
- Conduct orientation and induction for new residents
- Coordinate medical, clinical, and other essential appointments for residents
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records
- Promote positive communication between residents, staff, and management
- Participate in training and professional development programmes
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in social work
- Strong understanding of social work principles and ethics
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, especially teenage girls
