Software Developer Interns
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and problem-solving Software Developer Interns to join our engineering team. You will work alongside experienced developers to build, maintain, and deploy scalable backend and frontend applications while gaining hands-on exposure to modern production software workflows.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and maintain web applications using Python, Django, and React.
● Design and consume RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF).
● Collaborate using Git for version control and code reviews.
● Solve algorithmic challenges and write efficient, clean, and maintainable code.
● Assist in containerizing applications and supporting deployment pipelines.
Requirements
● KCSE, B+ and above or its equivalent
● Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; or be in the final year of study in any of these disciplines.
● Languages & Frameworks: Solid understanding of JavaScript, React, Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
● Core CS Fundamentals: Strong problem-solving skills with a good foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms.
● Tools: Proficiency with Git and GitHub/GitLab workflows.
● Bonus Points: Basic knowledge or hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD, and application deployment (AWS, Digital Ocean, or similar)
● Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
