About the Program
We are implementing a Swedish curriculum–based Solar Hybrid and Electrical Engineering Program with strong emphasis on renewable energy systems, sustainability, and hands-on technical competence. The program integrates electrical engineering with renewable technologies including solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, bioenergy, and energy management systems. We invite applications from highly competent and industry-experienced professionals to join our training team as a Solar Hybrid & Electrical Engineering Tutor.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivering theoretical and practical training aligned with the Swedish renewable energy curriculum
- Training students in design, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of renewable energy systems
- Preparing lesson plans, training materials, assessments, and practical lab sessions
- Supervising workshops, fieldwork, and on-site installations
- Integrating electrical, civil, and mechanical engineering concepts within renewable energy applications
- Mentoring students on industry standards, safety, and best practices
- Supporting curriculum development and continuous program improvement
- Deliver theoretical and practical lessons in Electrical and Electronics Engineering CDAC curriculum.
- Develop course materials, lesson plans, and training schedules in line with TVET & CDAC curriculum guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Diploma in Renewable Energy Technology / Renewable Energy Systems
- Demonstrable practical experience in solar PV systems
- Working knowledge of civil and mechanical engineering aspects related to solar PV and renewable energy installations
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on industry experience in renewable energy systems
- Strong competence in solar hybrid systems (grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid)
- Experience in energy auditing and energy management systems
- Familiarity with electrical standards, earthing, protection systems, and safety regulations
- Ability to teach both technical theory and practical field skills
- Strong communication, mentoring, and student-engagement skills
- Experience with monitoring systems, weak current wiring, and data logging is an added advantage
- Sound knowledge and practical skills in:
v PLC programming and automation systems
v Electrical machines and motor control
v Power systems design and analysis
v Control measurements and instrumentation
v Analog/digital electronics
- Competency in using modern teaching tools, simulation software, and technical drawing tools. (CAD drawings).
Desirable Attributes
- Prior teaching, training, or TVET experience
- Exposure to international or competency-based curricula (especially European/Swedish models)
- Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and skills development
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Pedagogical training (e.g., Diploma in Technical Education or Training of Trainers certificate) is an added advantage.
