Solar Installation Technician
Job summary
Department: Technical / Projects Reporting To: Project Engineer / Technical Manager Location: Kenya (Site-based; travel required)

ROLE OVERVIEW
· Responsible for installation, commissioning, testing, and basic troubleshooting of solar PV systems.
· Work across residential, commercial, and light industrial solar projects.
· Ensure installations meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Install solar PV modules, mounting structures, inverters, batteries, and BOS components.
· Install and commission Deye, Solis, and GoodWe inverters.
· Carry out DC and AC cabling, earthing, lightning protection, and surge protection.
· Ensure compliance with EPRA regulations and company standards.
· Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
· Support system testing, documentation, and client handover.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
· Valid EPRA Electrical License (T1, T2, or T3).
· Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in solar installation works.
· Proven experience with Deye, Solis, and GoodWe inverter systems.
· Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams and wiring layouts.
