Duties and responsibilities

An ofticer at this level will be assigned roads engineering duties and will work under close supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include: detailed design, supervision of construction and maintenance of classified and unclassified roads and design of small span drainage structures.

Requirements for Appointment

Served in the grade of Assistant Engineer Il (Roads/Materials) or comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a at least three years; Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; Be registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer; and Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

Salary scale : The salary, allowances and other benefits attached to this position as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
