Purpose of the Role:
The Technical Lead Operator shall oversee, supervise and provide maintenance operation to the recycling machinery and equipment.
A Education:
1. Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering,
B Relevant Previous
Experience:
1) Proven experience as a machine operator in a recycling or similar industrial setting.
2) Having operated an industrial production machine before with at least 3 process steps that required controlling of specific parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed.
C Business Understanding:
Should understand: -
1) Industrial Machinery process.
2) Industrial Mechanical Techniques.
3) Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) i.e. Machine efficiency and Manpower Utilization.
D Knowledge and Skills
1) Leadership
2) Ability to stand or walk for longer hours.

Key Responsibilities
Level 1
1. Machine Operation:
● Operate and oversee the operation of recycling machinery, such as balers, shredders, conveyors, and sorting equipment.
● Monitor equipment performance and intervene promptly in case of malfunctions or breakdowns.
● Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
2. Quality Control:
● Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the production of high quality recycled materials.
● Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products for conformity to standards.
● Collaborate with quality control personnel to address any issues and improve processes.
3. Maintenance and Repairs:
● Supervise but also if schedule allows, do regular preventative maintenance of the machinery
● Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions while coordinating repairs as needed.
● Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
4. Safety Compliance:
● Enforce and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
● Keep the workplace clean
● Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for machine operators.
● Investigate and report accidents or incidents promptly, implementing corrective actions.
5. Communication:
● Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
● Report and update production metrics, equipment status, and any issues to the relevant parties.
● Collaborate with colleagues to improve overall plant efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Supervision and Leadership:
● Lead, train, and supervise a team of assistant operators.
● Motivate and support the team to achieve production goals and targets.

7. Production Planning:
● Work with the Recycling Plant Manager and Recycling Plant Supervisor to develop production schedules and plans.
● Coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials through the production process.
● Make adjustments to production schedules in consultation with the Recycling Plant manager and Supervisor based on changing priorities or unforeseen circumstances.
8. Process optimization
● Analyze and improve existing processes.
● Implement process control systems.
● Work with the engineering team for new equipment design and installation.
● Data Analysis and Reporting (Use data for decision-making and process enhancements.)

9. New Recycling ideas
● Come up with new ideas about recycling untapped material flows within the company and market
● do market research about possibilities with existing and new machinery
