Role Purpose
Talent Grid Africa on behalf of their client in the healthcare industry is hiring Truck Drivers. The Truck Drivers will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of medical supplies, equipment, and related materials to and from healthcare facilities. The role requires a high level of responsibility, adherence to safety standards, and reliability to support critical healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Safely transport medical supplies, equipment, and other goods to designated locations
• Ensure timely deliveries to hospitals, clinics, and storage facilities
• Plan and follow efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, brakes, tires) before and after trips
• Ensure the truck is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition
• Report any mechanical issues promptly and coordinate repairs
• Assist in loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling of medical items
• Secure cargo to prevent damage during transit
• Verify delivery documentation and ensure accuracy of shipments
• Adhere to road safety regulations and company transport policies
• Ensure compliance with healthcare logistics standards, especially for sensitive equipment
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
• Liaise with logistics and operations teams regarding delivery schedules
• Communicate any delays, incidents, or route changes promptly
• Support urgent or emergency delivery requests when required

Key Requirements
✓ Valid Tanzanian commercial driving license (Class C or equivalent)
✓ Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a truck driver, preferably in logistics, healthcare, or FMCG
sectors
✓ Clean driving record with no major traffic violations
✓ Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy vehicles
✓ Good knowledge of road networks within Dar es Salaam and surrounding regions
✓ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required
✓ Physically fit and able to handle loading/unloading tasks
