Founded in 1946, business activities are focused on six principal product sectors - Water Pumps, Boreholes, Swimming Pools, Water Treatment, Generators and Solar Equipment. JOB SUMMARY
Qualifications and ExperienceKCSE Certificate; additional education or certification in logistics or a related field is preferred.Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.At least 5 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in the logistics sector.Experience in regulated warehouse operations will be an added advantage.In-depth knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensuring timely, accurate, and safe delivery of equipment and goods.Verify the accuracy of items before departure and upon delivery.Handle unexpected situations such as roadblocks and vehicle breakdowns.Follow road safety guidelines.Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including regular inspections, oil changes, and maintaining accurate delivery records.Plan delivery routes and schedules in coordination with the logistics team to ensure efficient use of time and resources.Inspect and maintain the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.Ensure proper handling and storage of equipment and goods during transit to prevent damage.Establish and maintain excellent working relationships by providing efficient, reliable, and courteous service.Ensure efficient route planning to minimize travel time and fuel consumption.Operate the vehicle in an efficient and effective manner while reporting any technical issues promptly.Keep accurate records of all deliveries, including delivery times, locations, and items delivered.Load and unload equipment and goods at event venues, warehouses, and client locations using appropriate equipment.Collaborate with various teams to ensure proper inventory handling and reporting.
