This recruitment pool will run for a period of twelve (12) months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts and permanent opportunities.
Currently, there is one (1) permanent position available for immediate filling.
This process will be used to establish a pool of suitable applicants for this position at Bunbury Regional Prison and similar vacancies across Western Australia.

About The Role
The Vocational Skills Instructor operates a training workshop/classroom delivering culturally appropriate vocational and industry based training to support prison operations. The position provides on the job instruction, accredited training and supervision to prisoners who work in this area.
Eligibility
Permanent positions – To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
Qualifications – Applicants Must Possess

  • A Cert IV Training and Assessment and/or the requirement to attain within nine (9) months.
  • A Construction Trade Certificate at a Certificate III level.
  • A Construction Industry White Card.

Special Conditions – Applicants must possess

  • A current valid manual class “C” motor vehicle driving licence.
  • A current valid Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) accreditation (or equivalent) received from an accredited training provider with a minimum of 12 months validity remaining.

Pool Recruitment
This pool will be open for a period of twelve (12) months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term and full time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
