Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer
Job summary
. The role involves designing, optimizing, and monitoring wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. Daily tasks include analyzing plant performance data, adjusting process parameters, coordinating with operations staff, and preparing technical reports.
Job descriptions & requirements
· Candidates should possess strong Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering skills, with experience in wastewater treatment or related industrial processes.
· Minimum of 10 years of work experience.
· Minimum of 5 years working in a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in a similar position.
· Candidates should possess skills in design reviews with particular emphasis on trickling filters.
· Candidates should possess skills in Process Design and Process Control, including sizing equipment, selecting treatment technologies, and setting operating parameters.
· Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including data analysis, performance evaluation, and problem-solving for complex process issues.
· Candidates should possess familiarity with environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and quality management practices relevant to water and wastewater facilities.
· Experience with SCADA or PLC-based control systems, and prior work on large-scale infrastructure projects.
· Additional desirable attributes include effective communication skills, ability to work in cross-cultural teams, proficiency in technical report writing, and readiness to work on-site in Nakuru County, Kenya.
